Intro to Iris/ Beginning Watercolor Pencil

Since this is my first post, I should start by introducing myself. This is my ID outlining my likes and dislikes. It features my fursona Iris, for which this blog, along with many other things, is named after. A fursona is often an alter-ego of oneself, represented as an animal. This isn't the case for me. She's what I use to express myself because I see her as another representation of me.

Iris has been around for a few years now. I started her first draft when I first started to take drawing seriously. The old drawings I now have of her help me track my progress and see the improvements I've made in my drawings. Trust me, some of those early drawings are not pretty. She represents what all of those years of work have given me.
Well, I guess I'll just jump right in with the drawings.

This is a quick drawing that a did in Ebony Pencil while watching a movie. I tend to draw better when I have something else to distract me. I decided to break out my watercolor pencils when coloring it. Mainly I just wanted to use this nifty watercolor pen my mom gave me. I'm really happy with the result.
